Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located at 1825 6th St in Brookings, SD, the Burger King restaurant offers a classic fast-food experience with a focus on flame-grilled American favorites that satisfy cravings quickly and deliciously. Known for its signature flame-grilled burgers, Burger King here delivers an array of mouthwatering options that blend bold flavors with familiar comfort.

The menu features crowd-pleasers such as the Texas Double Whopper, a hearty creation with two quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patties layered with melty American cheese, crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and slices of white onion and pickles. This burger is enhanced with zesty jalapenos and a creamy mayonnaise and yellow mustard combo, all embraced by a toasted sesame seed bun. For those seeking a plant-based option, the Impossible™ Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper® With Bacon offers a soulful twist—featuring a flame-grilled Impossible™ patty crafted from plants, complemented by Swiss cheese, golden onion rings, sautéed mushrooms, and a luscious peppercorn aioli. Every bite feels indulgent and satisfying, yet crafted with care for every palate.

Family dining is well catered for with the King Jr. Kids Meals, including favorites like the 4-piece and 6-piece chicken nuggets—bite-sized white meat nuggets encased in crispy homestyle seasoned breading, paired with your choice of sauce, sides, and drinks. These meals balance exactly the right notes of wholesome and fun, perfect for little ones with big appetites.

The atmosphere at this Burger King blends the familiarity of a trusted fast-food chain with attentive, friendly service that customers often highlight. Staff members go above and beyond, as seen in heartwarming gestures like complimentary cookies and surprise onion rings that turn an ordinary meal into a delightful experience. Customers praise employees such as Phil and the attentive senior staff, who create a welcoming environment where quick service meets genuine warmth. This combination of efficient online ordering and personable in-store service ensures minimal wait times without sacrificing quality.

When you step inside, the inviting aromas of flame-grilled patties and freshly prepared fries immediately awaken the senses. Speaking of fries, Burger King’s signature fries here are notable for their slightly larger size and crisp texture, making each bite a perfect savory companion to your meal. While there are occasional mix-ups in orders, staff maintain a friendly demeanor and strive to make things right, reinforcing the restaurant’s commitment to customer satisfaction.

Whether you're grabbing a quick bite during the day or treating yourself to a savory indulgence in the evening, Burger King at Brookings stands out as a dependable spot for classic, satisfying fast food with a touch of heart. It’s a place where the familiar flavors you love meet unexpected kindnesses that keep customers coming back.

Recently, this restaurant has been a bit under half capacity, which might be translating into quite-fast order times. (been doing mostly online orders at of late) The senior staff appear to have experience, and I’ve witnessed them and others be at least modestly-accommodating, if not more. And in general about Burger King restaurants, their fries are larger (but not much thicker) than their popular counterpart McDonalds. (it’s also nice that their online ordering system often nets me free ones as well) I wouldn’t give them 5 stars for food quality because I’m not sure if Burger King can reach more than 3 usually, but this particular restaurant gets at least 4 of 5 stars from me for their good service.

I went there the other night and used a credit card, but it was declined... The sweet lady working told me no problem it was in the house tonight. I was not expecting the response from her and it completely made my night! We only orders two five dollar deal menu items so it wasn't a huge amount. It was just really nice of them so I thought I'd leave a good review! Clean store, amazing smells, and friendly workers! Oh and amazing tasting food!!!

A man named Phil, fantastic worker, was a joy to see at Burger King. I ordered a whole meal, and before my card transaction was finished, he handed me my tray, what a guy! That should describe quite easily my rating.

Dude at the counter told me I was awesome. Put a free cookie in my bag and then when I was eating my fries I found a surprise onion ring 10 out of 10

As a general statement, I don’t like BK. The burgers all taste like the same liquid smoke no matter where you go. However. This is the only one I willingly go to. The crew in the morning (and sometimes at night as well though I tend to be there for breakfast) is always incredibly upbeat. And they’ve never gotten my order wrong. The service alone at this BK makes it worthwhile.

The mornings Phil always has a smile and makes everyone’s day so much better, if you come in the evenings Jenn makes sure your taken care of. Don’t know why anyone would go somewhere else for a fast food burger here in town. Respect the Crown skip the clown.

Never a wait always fast and friendly. Even when there’s 6 cars ahead of me they keep moving. Not like the other burger places down the block. Everyone is always so pleasant. If I’m ever not able to get my zesty sauce there’s gonna be problems. Seriously the best BK around.
